Pets accompanying passengers on their journey may be accepted as baggage, subject to the corresponding fee, if any, regardless of the free baggage allowance to which the passenger is entitled.

As a general rule, these animals must be checked in and stowed in the cargo area of the aircraft, where they will be placed in a container that can be obtained from some airlines.

Guide dogs

The dog trained for the mission of guide dog accompanying a blind passenger, in general, will regularly travel in the cabin, unless prevented by national or airline regulations. There is no charge for transporting them, either in the cabin or in the hold. No formalities are required in this case, it is sufficient that it is properly equipped with muzzle, collar and leash. In the case of traveling in the cabin, it will go with the passenger in the place assigned by the crew.
